1. Recall an inner voice that is very critical of you. Alternatively, recall how you engage in behavior you don’t want in your life. Please allow yourself to decide that this is just a part of you. Describe what happens when she/he is criticizing, acting out or reacting to something in your life. Use the description of one of my selves described above as an example. Date it, mark down the page in You University the original exercise is on. Call this “False Self Exercise”.
2. What does she/he tell you? What criticism does she/he have of you?
3. Name her/him. For example, “The Wicked Witch of Santa Monica” i
s another name for the self I was describing above because of her critical and self-destructive behavior.
4. As you go through this transformational process, pay attention to what happens to her or him. Watch to see if she/he gracefully retires or tries to hold on for dear life. And remember to thank these parts as they leave. They have been important to you on your path and have helped you arrive where you are today.
Most people live their lives in reaction not action. Only by seeing how you keep reacting, can you decide you want to change.

I just wanted to drop by and pick up some of your coaching. You should know Judith Rich, she has a site called RX for the Soul, http://www.judithrich.com/, and you both have a similar approach. You’d love each other.
Please visit me at http://www.doityourselflifecoach.com from time to time and I’ll do the same. I think your material is very good and I’m going to sign up for your materials.
All the best for you,
