Maia,
As a result of our coaching sessions, I have recently started making decisions related to conducting the services at church. I
realize that as a newly ordained minister, I am on the “fast track” since my pastor is ill, but I also acknowledge that I have deferred to others all my life, rather than stand up for what I want or take full responsibility for tasks assigned to me. This new way of being has felt relatively seamless, in that I have not experienced major discomfort in taking a more assertive position, and so you had to point out my success, my accomplishments (which are huge, though I have just integrated this way of being without fanfare, so to speak). I’m sending a huge hug your way.
Thanks and love to you,
Rev. Anita
p.s. I know I may need reinforcement in the future, but this feels great!!!
