What I’ve learned both from my training and my life’s journey, wisdom acquired, and what drives my life coaching and teaching. The following are my beliefs and way of being in the world:

Recently I was asked what my coaching clients focus on or rather how I help. My response was “I’ve been coaching about 12 years. I help people with lots of things including getting their writing flowing, improving their relationships, or helping them see that they can have what they want in a relationship, improving their self image and self esteem, expanding their confidence, understanding the inner spiritual message and growth opportunity in the events of their life and uncovering, learning to believe it’s possible to do their dreams and beginning to make them happen.”

My Story

From Victimhood to the Love of My Life

I went from victimhood rooted in childhood sexual abuse to an abusive marriage – to creating a long lasting, nurturing marriage with my current husband of 22 years. (Married twice? actually three times. Ask me about it.) Not everybody has to leave their marriage to have the love or their life but I did.

It took years to see my situation clearly enough so that I could give myself permission to say it was the right thing to have done. It wasn’t that I hadn’t tried hard enough or done enough counseling or changed myself in enough ways. It was that he and I had way too much baggage that we brought along with us and had no possible way to deal with it within the relationship.

It was many more years before I was able to take responsibility – without blaming myself or him – for my part in the marriage. I look at both of us with compassion and love.

From Underpaid to Running a Company

For many years, I was challenged with jobs that mismatched my talents – low pay and sometimes no job at all.

By refocusing my talents and following some simple steps to improving my self-esteem, I became Founder and Director of the Mars Venus Institute (John Gray – best selling author of Men Are from Mars, Women Are from Venus ) creating workshops and trainings for hundreds of professional speakers and therapists.

For the past several years I have been developing my own material based on my Life Is A School attitude and all that I learned from wonderful teachers like John Gray and Barbara DeAngelis, Abraham Hicks, Rev. Michael Beckwith, Beth Fortman-Brand and my very own Wise Fairy God Mother, Janet Gross.

I am so blessed in my life that I feel passionate about helping others develop the life-giving, victim-mentality crushing perspective that truly Life Is a School.

From $ Denial to $ Classes

My finances used to be monumentally difficult for me to manage – and a mess. I learned to become financially savvy and found a comfort zone for money matters. I’ve recently led a year long money/spiritual awareness class whose participants included a financial adviser!

I’ve been learning from many places and many ways that prosperity in all things comes from allowing prosperity and abundance into our lives. I love sharing the wonderful tools that I’ve been using.

From Bitter Divorce to Friends

I have a history of healing and growing relationships even when I had felt seriously wronged.

I used to broil whenever I saw even his handwriting on an envelope. I tried not to turn my children against their father but I know mean statements crept into my conversation all the time. I was embarrassed for people to know I had actually been married to him.

And 5 years ago, my ex-husband made and paid for my 60th birthday party and the next year he took our whole family to Hawaii – including me! He even invited my husband, Bart! Nice friend, huh?

From ‘No Creativity’ to Paid Author

I have overcome writers’ block and am a professional author. I used to be afraid I was not a creative individual. My book, Once Upon a Time There Was You: Three Magic Secrets to Finding Your Real Self , became like my 5th child!
I list all my learning and accomplishments for several reasons:
